A six-member investigation team led by Taliparamba circle inspector A V John would be taking Bitti to Jaipur by train tonight, police sources said.
The purpose of the team was to confirm the identity of Bitti, who had been living in Kerala as 'Raghav Rajan' after fleeing from Rajasthan while on parole in 2006 when he was serving the sentence for raping a German woman.
Bitti would also be taken to Odisha and Andhra Pradesh to collect maximum details for establishing the case of forgery, impersonation and cheating registered by the Kerala police against him, sources said.
Police did not take Bitti to any place here today as part of the probe, they said.
