Biz man held for duping job aspirants

A businessman was today arrested for allegedly cheating several youths to the tune of a few crore of rupees by promising them employment and agency for a courier firm.
Syed Anwar and his associate Roopaka Sundari had published advertisements about their proposal to set up the courier company that would transport goods across the state and invited applications for agency and employees.
The duo opened an office in the city and collected deposit of Rs 50,000 from various aspirants.
However, later they did not give proper information regarding the proposed company.
On a complaint from one Kumar of Manamadurai, District crime Branch Police arrested Syed Anwar and were looking for his partner, police said.
