"Whenever BJP came to power, it not only ignored the interest of safai karamcharis, but was also against the Balmiki Samaj, daily wage employees and the poor people.
"The manner in which all the three BJP-ruled Municipal Corporations of Delhi exploit the safai karamcharis clearly indicates BJP's anti-Dalit policies and rules," Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) chief Arvinder Singh Lovely said.
Addressing safai karamcharis and contractual employees who were on a dharna at Jantar Mantar, Lovely said that they were being denied their just rights by the MCD.
"The community is waiting to teach Kejriwal a bitter lesson for betraying the poor people, as well as giving false promises to them," Lovely said, adding that whenever elections are held in Delhi, the Balmiki Samaj and daily wage earners would teach AAP a lesson.
