The Tamil Nadu Congress President E V K S Elangovan today claimed that there was a change in BJP's attitude towards AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa and said he expected the two parties to tie-up for next year's assembly elections.
"I expect the two parties to ally for the forthcoming assembly elections," he told reporters here.
To substantiate, he referred to the reported statements of Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan and BJP state unit president Tamilisai Soundararajan that it would be good if Jayalalithaa became the chief minister of the state.
"This show that BJP-AIADMK alliance is in the offing," Elangovan said.
The change in the attitude of the BJP towards the AIADMK party had come after Jayalalithaa had been acquitted in the disproportionate assets case, he claimed.
Those (BJP) who were criticising AIADMK were now seeking Jayalalithaa's regime in the state, he said.
The Congress would come out with the "proof and evidence" if the state governor did not take action against the TN ministers against whom the party had listed corruption charges in a memorandum given recently.
He demanded a CBI inquiry into the corruption charges against the state ministers.
