BJP today alleged "irregularities" in the medical exam and counselling process of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha (GGSIP) University, which the varsity refuted.
Opposition leader Vijendra Gupta and two other BJP MLAs - O P Sharma and Jagdish Pradhan - today met LG-appointed ACB chief M K Meena and filed their written complaint.
In their complaint, they said, "There is allegation of grave irregularities in the conduct of the medical exam and counselling process by the University.
"The entire episode points to quid pro quo by the University to favour certain candidates over others and puts a huge question mark on the entire admission procedure. Hence, it needs to be thoroughly investigated," he said.
They alleged that the university allegedly changed results of its medical entrance exam "overnight", just a few minutes prior to the time at which detailed schedule for counselling of MBBS program was supposed to be notified.
However, the university refuted the allegations, saying that admission to its all courses is done through transparent system.
"These allegations are totally baseless. University has a transparent system to conduct procedure for admission to its all courses," GGSIP University Public Relations Officer Nalini Ranjan said.
