Terming BJP as an itch, RJD president Lalu Prasad today said his party will adopt "offensive strategy" to remove it during the Bihar Assembly elections scheduled for later this year.
"BJP is 'daad, khaj, khujli, dinai' (types of skin infection), which we need to end. I have asked my party workers to adopt an offensive strategy to remove it. We will not be defensive against it," Prasad said.
Prasad, however, was quick to add that he has asked his party workers to do this without breaking discipline or using abusive language against anybody.
He said the party workers will observe restraint despite the BJP leaders talking about baseless things.
The RJD chief was talking to media persons after chairing a meeting of party leaders and workers of Patna division to chalk out a strategy for the upcoming state polls. The division consists of six districts - Patna, Nalanda, Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas Kaimur.
"I have told my party workers that BJP wants to usurp Bihar and we have to check it. The entire country is watching the state with keen interest. We must ensure that 'ghar wapsi' of BJP begins from here," he said.
Speaking of the poll strategy, Prasad said he directed his partymen to reach out to people and apprise them of the divisive policies and lies of BJP and the Central government's failure on the governance front.
