Former Law Minister of Delhi, Tomar, is under arrest in an alleged fake degree case.
"We demand Government to take action against a number of fake boards of secondary and senior secondary education functioning in Delhi, cheating thousands of gullible students with fake education system, examination and degrees.
"Action against such boards becomes all important in view of the case involving Tomar," opposition leader in Delhi legislative Assembly Vijender Gupta said.
Gupta said that such boards are flaunting their status on websites with emblems and descriptions resembling to Central Board of Secondary Education.

These boards claim to provide certificates of secondary and senior secondary education and a number of innocent students get admission and go through examinations not knowing their actual status, he added.
"Despite spending precious time and money, students are left with nothing at the end but fake degree and marks sheet. When they realise the truth, it is too late to make amendments," the legislator said.
"The board declares a student successful on scoring 33 per cent marks in each paper.
