Delhi BJP today asked Lt Governor Najeeb Jung to set up a high-level committee to monitor the admission process in private schools.
Delhi BJP president Harsh Vardhan today wrote a letter to Lt Governor, demanding the formation of monitoring committee on admission process in all private schools.
"For solving the serious problem of admission in nursery and primary schools, BJP wants LG to form a high level committee, which would monitor all admission process. This committee should monitor the admission process on day to day basis and submit its report to the LG," Vardhan said.
In his letter to the LG, BJP leader said, "The children between 6 to 14 years of age must be provided free primary education by every state."
"In the private managed schools, there should be 25 per cent reservation for the children of poor families. No donation or other illegal charges should be recovered from the children of poor families by the private schools."
