Senior BJP leader J P Nadda today held a meeting with state unit leaders and took stock of preparations for the party's mega membership drive, which is starting from November 1.
"Delhi BJP leaders and workers have been directed to increase the party's base support in the national capital. Besides, the state unit has also been asked to prepare a blueprint to make more people members of the party in Delhi," said a party leader, requesting anonymity.
"BJP is launching this drive to enable people's participation in its social welfare programmes. The drive will be launched online and the party will also launch a mobile app in this regard," Nadda told reporters here.
Meanwhile, the Delhi BJP has asked office bearers of 13 districts in the national capital to start preparations for November 25 bypolls to three assembly constituencies - Krishna Nagar, Mehrauli and Tughlaqabad.

"Office bearers of all 13 districts have been asked to camp in these constituencies and launch full preparation to win these seats. More than 2,000 workers are expected to be included in the preparation for by-elections," he said.
Earlier in the day, the Supreme Court expressed satisfaction over Lt Governor Najeeb Jung's recent moves to explore the possibility of government formation in Delhi and said that he should be given more time as "there could be a minority government with outside support".
