"Delhi Chief Minister has announced that within the next two years entire system of water supply will be privatised. During the last 10 years there has been 1,700 per cent increase in the power tariff in Delhi. After privatisation, it would increase further making its beyond reach of the people. BJP won't allow the anti- people and corrupt government to continue which is in power for the last 14 years," Delhi BJP President Vijender Gupta said.

He said BJP leader Sushma Swaraj would announce the decisive battle during the August 4 conference in which more than 3,000 RWAs would particpate to protest against the "conspiracy" of the government to earn heavy profit from water and power.

"A decisive strategy to fight against the government, power companies and Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission would also be announced," Gupta said.

The BJP leader termed the change of portfolio of Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as an attempt to mislead the people and said he could not prevent grid failure continuously for two days.

During the conference, experts of the country on energy and water policies would participate.

"Famous water expert Bhagwati Prasad from Udaipur would present a detailed agenda of the government on commercialisation of water. He would inform that how the Government and Delhi were going to hand over the invaluable water resource of India to the foreign companies," Gupta said.
