BJP candidates ahead in 11 seats; Shinde, Bhujbal trail

BJP candidates were leading in 11 seats while ally Shiv Sena nominees were ahead in six seats in Maharashtra, as per early trends available.
Congress was leading in two seats, ally NCP in three seats and candidates of Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana and Rashtriya Samaj Paksh (both parties are part of the Opposition 'Mahayuti' alliance) in the state.
In Solapur, Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde was trailing while in Beed, senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde was leading over his NCP rival Suresh Dhas.
In Nashik, NCP minister Chhagan Bhujbal was trailing while former Chief Minister Ashok Chavan was leading in Nanded constituency.
Shiv Sena candidate Shrirang Barne was leading in the Mawal constituency in western Maharashtra.
In Amravati, Sena nominee Anand Adsul was leading over his NCP rival Navneet Kaur Rana.
In Pune, Anil Shirole of BJP was leading by 2722 votes followed by 2238 Vishwajeet Kadam.
