BJP in Tamil Nadu today condemned Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy's recent remarks pitching for Parliamentary approval to set up Cauvery Water Management Authority.
Kumaraswamy had said on June 19 that he was prepared to nominate the state's representatives on the Cauvery Water Management Authority but not before the concerns raised by him were addressed, a day after he pitched for parliamentary approval to set up the CWMA.
He had questioned the Centre's action of notifying the CWMA through a gazette notification before obtaining parliamentary approval for it.
"The remarks are fit to be condemned", BJP state President Tamilisai Soundararajan told reporters here.
She took a dig at political parties who never lauded the Centre for bringing to the state projects like AIIMS, a long pending demand, and also solving the vexatious Cauvery issue.
She suggested that DMK president M K Stalin, 'who is protesting against all development projects by the Centre, undertake a padayatra to Bengaluru over the cauvery issue.
