He also refused to reveal his party's strategy on a possible alliance with the BJP in the wake of the party backing the bill to split Andhra Pradesh.
"I feel it is the responsibility of the main opposition party to fight for equal justice... I expected BJP will stand as a main Opposition party, they should have done justice for both the regions," he told reporters here.
Earlier in the day, Naidu had appealed to BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi to "use his good offices" to keep Andhra Pradesh united till an amicable solution is reached on the issue of creation of separate Telangana.
Naidu, who is believed to be moving closer to the BJP-led NDA, said he was not bothered about an alliance at a time when the country is in a crisis.

He later refused to reveal whether his party would go it alone or ally with BJP in the upcoming elections.
He further noted that his future course of action would based on the views of the public.
On the other hand, Naidu attacked YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy, saying the latter (Reddy) would be the happiest man, after the state is divided for electoral gains.
