TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu today appeared to be cut up with BJP on the Telangana bill passage issue saying he had expected the main Opposition party to "do better on this front" and do justice for both the regions.
He also refused to reveal his party's strategy on a possible alliance with the BJP in the wake of the party backing the bill to split Andhra Pradesh.
"I feel it is the responsibility of the main opposition party to fight for equal justice... I expected BJP will stand as a main Opposition party, they should have done justice for both the regions," he told reporters here.
Noting that demands of the principal Opposition party did not figure in the Telangana bill passed by Lok Sabha, he observed that BJP could have done better in this front.
Earlier in the day, Naidu had appealed to BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi to "use his good offices" to keep Andhra Pradesh united till an amicable solution is reached on the issue of creation of separate Telangana.
Naidu, who is believed to be moving closer to the BJP-led NDA, said he was not bothered about an alliance at a time when the country is in a crisis.

He later refused to reveal whether his party would go it alone or ally with BJP in the upcoming elections.
"I do not want to say anything now. People are thinking in Seemandhra they are let down. I expected all political parties to create an atmosphere equal justice will be done to both the regions that they did not do," he added.
He further noted that his future course of action would based on the views of the public.
On the other hand, Naidu attacked YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy, saying the latter (Reddy) would be the happiest man, after the state is divided for electoral gains.
