The party's Tripura unit president Sudheendra Dasgupta said the delegation visited some parts of Rajnagar block in South Tripura district, Matabari block of Gomati district and Dakshin Maheshpur village of Sipahijala district.
Dasgupta claimed that the CPI(M) cadres had let loose terror after announcements of the panchayat elections results on July 17.
The state party president alleged he along with state party secretary Tapas Bhattacharya and two other members were attacked by CPI(M) activists at Dakshin Maheshpur in Sipahijala district on July 22 and the police remained a silent spectator.
CPI(M) state unit secretary and Central Committee member Bijon Dhar, however, denied any attack on BJP state president on July 22.
Rather, the car of the BJP leaders had hit three CPI(M) workers and one of them had to be taken to a hospital, Dhar said.
The BJP delegation, the other members of which were Tarun Vijay and Satyanarayan Jatia, is scheduled to meet the officiating governor P B Acharya.
