Senior CPI leader D Pandian today accused the BJP of exploiting factionalism in AIADMK in its favour.
"AIADMK, after the death of late Chief Minister and its supremo J Jayalalithaa, is a faction-ridden party, without any single symbol or a leader," he told reporters here.
Thus, the BJP is exploiting the situation in its favour and is aiming to get a foothold in Tamil Nadu, he added.
AIADMK leaders were not able to exert pressure on the Centre to get exemption from National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to medical courses and was instead bowing before the Centre, the CPI leader alleged.
Asked what he thought of DMK working president M K Stalin, Pandian said as an opposition leader, he was functioning well and had taken up welfare measures like desilting of lakes and ponds.
