The Arunachal Pradesh unit of the party in a statement accused both Assam and Arunachal governments for maintaining "callous attitude" towards the suffering of common people after the incident "instead of solving the problem" at the earliest.
The blockade imposed against Arunachal Pradesh by some Assam-based organisations which entered its sixth day today, has triggered crisis of essential commodities in Arunachal.
After the incident, economic blockade was launched at various places on NH 52 in Assam as a result of which several residents of Arunachal Pradesh were stranded at various destinations of Assam and facing hardship to return back to their home, the statement said.
The party demanded arrangement of alternate air boarding facility for the stranded people to their respective places and deployment of adequate para-military forces in all disturbed places of Assam.
