A day after its Himachal executive meeting ended, party's state in-charge Shrikant Sharma also hit out at Congress over its claim that BJP was trying to destabilise the Himachal government, saying it should introspect why its leaders were "running away" from Rahul Gandhi's leadership.
"The party (Congress) is weakening like a termite-infested tree. Its leadership should introspect why MLAs and other leaders were leaving the party," he said.
Rejecting Chief Minister Virbharda Singh's charge that the corruption cases against him were motivated, Sharma said they dated back to the time of Congress government and the HP CM was making "desperate" allegations because he had realised that he could go to jail anytime.
