The demand was made in a resolution adopted at the two-day meeting of the BJP state executive which began here today, a party spokesman said.
The Swaminathan panel has recommended effective implementation of MSP across the country, establishing community foodgrain banks, development of agricultural market infrastructure and terminal markets for agriculture, among others.
The meeting, chaired by Punjab BJP unit chief Ashwani Kumar Sharma, criticised the Centre for rationing state quota of kerosene oil and demanded its immediate restoration.
The party lauded exemption by the Punjab government of petrol and diesel from octroi charges on BJP's demand.
BJP national vice-president and state in-charge Shanta Kumar and national general secretary Jagat Prakash Nadda were among those who attended.
