Ganesh Ghosh, an aspirant for co-opt member position in the civic body from BJP, after knowing that his name was not being finalized for the position, allegedly created ruckus and damaged the furniture of Srinath Bhimale's office, who is the house leader in the civic body.
The incident unfolded after the names of three BJP functionaries - Gopal Chintal, Raghunath Gouda and Ganesh Bidkar were finalised as the co-opt members in the civic body, where BJP is at the helm.
"Ghosh who was aspirant for the position, after knowing that his name has not been finalized, got dejected and lost his control and in that state of mind, he and his supporters damaged the furniture of my office," said Bhimale.
Sources said that Ghosh's name was earlier finalized, however, at the last moment, the state leadership chose Bidkar over Ghosh, which led to the ruckus.
