Lauding the Government for its efforts in bringing down inflation, BJP today said it is the result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and the steps taken by him in the last four months.
Party's national secretary Shrikant Sharma expressed hope that the initiatives taken by the Government to revive the economy will help bring down prices further in near future and ease the life of the common man in the country.
"The party congratulates Narendra Modi's leadership and the steps taken by his government in reviving the economy. The initiatives are aimed at bringing down prices to help the common man," Sharma said.
The BJP leader said that the increase in GDP and the decrease in inflation ever since the Modi Government came to power are proof of the Prime Minister's resolve to end the hardship of the poor and the common masses.
"This government proved to be a common man's government," he said.
Sharma's remarks came as the retail inflation declined to 5.52 per cent in October, the lowest since the new series of data was introduced in January 2012.
