Former Maharashtra Congress chief, Manikrao Thakre today said the ruling BJP and RSS have no moral right to question Rahul Gandhi's integrity over the JNU issue.
The Congress leader also said that his party stands behind Rahul over the issue.
The BJP has criticised the Congress vice-president for "supporting anti-nationals" over the JNU row.
Addressing a press conference here, Thakre said, "The MPCC stands behind the party vice-president for his stand on the JNU issue."
"The BJP had even opposed hanging of Indira Gandhi's killers. Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi were victims of terror acts. BJP-RSS have no moral right to question the integrity of Rahul Gandhi," he said.
