"The decision was taken at the executive committee meeting of the Hazaribagh BJP unit," district BJP chief Tunu Gope told reporters here.
"The decision by the BJP high command to ally with AJSU has hurt the sentiments of party workers who have worked hard in these constituencies," he said.
The Barkagaon and Ramgarh Assembly segments had given a massive lead to BJP's Jayant Sinha as he won the Hazaribagh Lok Sabha seat, he said.
"We will change our decision if we are allowed to contest the Barkagaon seat," Gope said.
