BJP today hit back at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's veiled dig on Centre's 'Make in India' campaign, saying the AAP leader should first try to get out of "photo frames" and "jhadoo drama", and then talk of realities of the country.
"Man like Arvind Kejriwal, who does drama with jhadoo (brooms) and are stuck inside photo frames of hoardings, should try getting out of that phase first, and then they can criticise about what the reality is," Union Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma said.
He was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of 'Paryatan Bhawan' foundation-laying ceremony here.
Kejriwal in a series of tweets today said that 'Make India' is more important than Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pet theme 'Make in India'.
Kejriwal said "pro-people" policies similar to ones "initiated by the AAP government," were important to 'Make India'. He also emphasised on investing in health, education, infrastructure, water, justice and safety.
Modi is currently on a visit to the US and 'Make in India' mantra has been one of the highlights of his interaction with business leaders in that country.
"Kejriwal instead of worrying about the Modi government, should worry about Delhi, and the problems that the city is facing," Sharma said
BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi, who was also present during the programme, reacted in the same vein.
