BJP holds meeting for Raj local bodies poll preparations

Rajasthan BJP today held a meeting for preparations of upcoming elections in 129 local bodies in August and asked the partymen to work for the party's victory in the state.
Besides preparations for the local bodies elections, the party leaders reviewed the preparations for Yoga day tomorrow and also progress in Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign.
The meeting chaired by state BJP president Ashok Parnami was attended by MLAs, MPs and other leaders related with the 129 local bodies though it was not a show of strength in support of chief minister Vasundhara Raje, who did not attend the meeting.

"The meeting in party office was pre decided and it was not a show of strength by chief minister," the CM's press adviser said, while rejecting some reports terming the meeting as a show of strength by Raje- who is embroiled in Lalit Modi row.
