The Punjab unit of BJP today held a prayer ceremony in memory of the victims of the Uttarakhand tragedy.
Sukhmani Sahib Path, a hawan yagya and Shabad Gayan (Kirtan) were organised to pray for peace for the departed souls, a party spokesman said.
"We should express solidarity with the families of departed souls. The prayer ceremony is for those who died unknown... For those who went to pay obeisance but ended up embracing death," BJP's state chief Kamal Sharma said.
