BJP holds protest, demands CBI probe against Kitchloo

The youth wing of state BJP today held a demonstration to protest the re-induction of Sajjad Ahmed Kitchloo into the Council of Ministry and demanded a CBI inquiry into his role for the communal clashes last August.
Over 50 activists of the party's youth wing, led by Jammu West District President Ajay Vaid held a protest demonstration at Janipur area of the city and demanded a CBI probe against Kitchloo for his role in the August communal clashes.
They also burnt Kitchloo's effigy as well as that of the state government.
"We condemn the re-induction of Kitchloo into the Council of Ministry and demand a CBI probe into the August 9 communal clashes in which three persons were killed and dozens injured," Vaid said here.

Following the riots, Kitchloo had quit as the Minister of State for Home but he was re-inducted into the ministry on December 21 after his exoneration.
Justice (Retd) R C Gandhi, probing into the August riots, exonerated Kitchloo and blamed police and local administration for mismanagement during the riots.
