Congress today took potshots at the Sangh Parivar over participation of Chinese representatives in the Global Investors Summit beginning here on October 22 and accused ruling BJP of indulging in "double speak" on the issue of boycotting Chinese products.
"A campaign is being run for boycotting Chinese products and the Sangh Parivar's 'Swadeshi Jagran Manch' is supporting it. On the other hand, Sangh Parivar's political offshoot, the BJP, which is in power in Madhya Pradesh, is inviting representatives of China to GIS," Congress MLA Jitu Patwari said.
He said BJP is indulging in "double speak" on the issue of Chinese products, "which is not acceptable."
Earlier in the day, BJP general secretary Kailash Vijaywargiya described as "good omen" the campaign for demanding boycott of Chinese goods in India.
He said the move would force China to "relook" at its stance of supporting Pakistan internationally.
However, Vijaywargiya refused to comment on the participation of Chinese representatives in the two-day summit, saying Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has to take a call on it.

"I will not comment on the issue," he said when his comment was sought.
Madhya Pradesh Industries Minister Rajendra Shukla had said on Monday that Chinese goods were being opposed in India. "But if the Chinese companies invest in MP and start production, the move will give fillip to 'Make in India'."
He had said Chinese investment in MP will generate employment for locals and rev up state's revenue.
