With the aim to ensure the party's victory in at least 272 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, BJP's Delhi unit today launched its "Ek Note, Kamal par Vote" campaign across the city for collecting contributions from the people.
The campaign will continue for a month and party workers will reach out to every household seeking contributions and appealing to them to cast their vote on BJP's symbol lotus (kamal) in the general elections.
The "Ek Note, Kamal par Vote (one currency note, vote on lotus)" campaign was kicked off by BJP's national president Rajnath Singh in the presence of thousands of party workers at the Constitution Club here.
Singh said the people of the country were looking for "a change" and the BJP-led NDA had emerged as "the only viable alternative", and urged party workers to reach out to every one to strengthen the bond between them and the party.
"The people of this country are tired of rampant corruption and opportunistic policies of the Congress-led UPA. They are looking for a change and BJP has emerged as the only viable alternative for the people," Singh said.
BJP's state unit president Vijay Goel urged the party workers to expose the Aam Aadmi Party's U-turn and alliance with corrupt Congress during this campaign.
"The people of Delhi are feeling betrayed by the way the administration is being handled. The AAP government has failed to meet the promises it made. Announcements are galore but the impact on the ground is zero," Goel claimed.
