BJP leader and Haryana Pradesh Veopar Mandal president Bajrang Dass Garg and his supporters today joined the Congress in the presence of former Union minister Kumari Selja here.
Speaking to reporters, Garg expressed faith in the Congress and praised the party's policies.
Rajya Sabha Congress MP Selja accused the BJP of trying to "eliminate" India's democratic system.
Every section of society is "unhappy" with the BJP government, she claimed.
"On one side, farmers are not getting right prices for their produce and on the other, traders are hit by the Goods and Services Tax. Every businessman is in trouble because of the anti-business policies," she alleged.
The SC/ST Act has been diluted under a conspiracy by the BJP government, the Congress leader alleged.
"That is why now, incidents of torture of Dalits have increased," she claimed.
