BJP leaders demand resignation of ministers over alleged scam

The opposition BJP in Maharashtra Assembly today sought resignation of several ministers over an alleged scam involving Jalgaon Milk Growers Association.
Raising the issue in the lower house today, Leader of Opposition Eknath Khadse and Nana Patole (both BJP) said these ministers should be sacked immediately if they don't quit.
The Jalgaon district court had ordered registration of offence in this regard, they said.
The alleged scam relates to handing over of Jalgaon Milk Growers Association to the National Dairy Development Federation and involves forgery and misappropriation of Rs 3.18 crore, according to the statement read out by BJP leaders in the house.
Opposition members rushed into well of the house, seeking the ministers' resignation and shouting slogans. Deputy Speaker Vasant Purke adjourned the house for 10 minutes.
However, on resumption of proceedings, the din continued and the Deputy Speaker adjourned the house for the day.
