This led to a verbal clash between BJP and SP members, with the latter protesting against the BJP's charges and some BJP members, including Giriraj Singh, were heard demanding President's Rule in Uttar Pradesh.
Another BJP member from Jharkhand, Sunil Kumar Singh, demanded President's Rule in the state alleging that the Chief Minister himself has admitted that he had helped extremist outfits.
He said constitutional crisis has developed in the state with "criminals running amuk" and targetting of political opponents was on the rise in the state.
