"How can the project be revived when the promoters have not even approached the government? This is only a ploy of the BJP to create confusion and instigate people," said Bali, the Transport minister.
The BJP, Himachal Lokhit Party and VHP leaders had been issuing statements that they would stall the Rs 1581-crore project, he said.
"How they will do it when the project has not started," asked the minister.
"The BJP government filed an SLP against the decision of the High Court. Now it is prerogative of the government to withdraw the SLP," he said.
The project in picturesque Manali in Kullu district was started during the previous Congress government. The BJP vehemently opposed it.
