BJP MLA to stage hunger strike before CM residence
Press Trust of India Dehradun BJP MLA from Purola in Uttarkashi district Malchand today threatened to stage hunger strike before the Chief Minister's residence here on March 8 in protest against "biased distribution" of budgetary allocations in calamity-hit areas.
"I have written to Chief Minister Harish Rawat seeking his permission to stage hunger strike before his residence in protest against this," the MLA said.
The committees headed by ADMs to clear projects for affected areas were giving preference to those proposed by ruling party workers and leaders, he alleged.
