BJP MLAs continue to disrupt Assembly, demand reply from CM
Press Trust of India Bhubaneswar The issue related to misuse of discretionary quota to avail more than one house by a BJD MP and alleged involvement of a minister in illegal apartment construction, continued to disrupt proceedings in the state Assembly for the second consecutive day today.
The issue was raised by BJP member Rabi Narayan Nayak in the Assembly during Zero Hour, when he demanded a statement from the Chief Minister on both the issues.
However, Speaker Niranjan Pujari rejected it saying the two issues were already discussed in the House yesterday.
Unable to get a ruling, agitated BJP MLAs rushed to the Well of the House and raised slogans over the Speaker's denial, prompting Pujari to adjourn the House till noon.
Yesterday, the House was adjourned twice due to ruckus by the BJP members over the same issue.
