BJP MLAs stage protest outside J&K Assembly for fourth day
Press Trust of India Jammu BJP MLAs continued their protest outside the J&K state legislature for the fourth day today demanding dismissal of the government and imposition of President's rule, claiming that the NC-Congress government's policies were putting at risk the security of the state.
Carrying placards bearing anti-government slogans, party MLAs led by leader of the BJP legislative party, Ashok Khajuria, sat on dharna at the entrance of the state legislature.
"We are staging this dharna the fourth day today to protest against the failure of Omar Abdullah government on all fronts, particularly security.
"We demand end of the discrimination to Jammu and Ladakh regions, providing security to panches and sarpanches and bringing back Gilgit-Baltistan in Indian domain," Khajuria said.
The BJP MLAs demanded dismissal of the state government and imposition of President's rule in the state, saying the government's policies were putting at risk the security of the state.
