"Party MLAs and MLCs started a two-day dharna in front of Vidhan Bhawan on law and order, power and other public related problems," BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said in front of Assembly.
BJP has 41 MLAs and five MLCs.
Addressing the 'dharna', BJP state president Laxmi Kant Bajpai alleged that the Samajwadi Party government has failed on all the fronts, as there was no law and order in the state and the system has failed.
Another BJP leader, Suresh Khanna, alleged that even policemen were being assaulted while holding the government responsible for cane dues.

The MLAs were demanding better law and order and withdrawal of the recent hike in power tarrif.
They also sought immediate payment of cane dues along with the interest and timely operation of sugar mills.
On September 1, BJP MPs from the state had staged a day-long 'dharna' in Lucknow as a part of state-wide agitation against "power crisis, poor law and order situation other issues."
