BJP MLAs will file a complaint with the Chief of Anti-Corruption Branch against Delhi Minister and Chairman of Delhi Jal Board for alleged gross violation of financial rules and instructions of CVC over installation of RO plants and water dispensing units in 29 unauthorised colonies.
Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Vidhan Sabha, Vijender Gupta today said that he along with other BJP MLAs will meet M K Meena, Chief of ACB to file complaint against Chairman of DJB for alleged gross violation of rules and instructions in the matter of decentralised arrangement of potable drinking water supply to 29 unauthorised colonies by installing RO plants and water dispensing units through private contractor.
Gupta alleged that the award of work involved gross violation of financial rules and instructions of Central Vigilance Commission on the subject.
"The gravity of the violation and financial loss to the Government can be gauged from the fact that the contract has been given for 12 long years and may involve loss of several thousand crore rupees to government exchequer during the period of contract," he alleged.
Gupta further said that they will also submit a memorandum containing CVC violations to Commissioner, Central Vigilance Commission on Monday.
Gupta claimed that as per Delhi Jal Board act the work of supply of potable water to citizens cannot be entrusted to any private agency.
