Raksha Khadse, an MP from north Maharashtra, in her address to the Commonwealth Youth Parliament in South Africa said the Constitution also ensures a balance is maintained between the central and state legislatures in enforcing governance.
At the event held at Mmabatho city recently by the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Secretariat, Khadse underlined the need for good governance at political, administrative and judicial levels in sustaining parliamentary democracy.
Khadse said she also explained the three-tier governance model as per the Panchayat Raj system in India, at the district, block and village levels along with the responsibility of political and executive heads in sustaining the development process.
Young MPs across Commonwealth countries participated in the international political event, which concluded yesterday.
