The two-day state executive meet of BJP today ended with a resolve to consolidate its position by cashing in on PM Narendra Modi and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's popularity.
CM Chouhan and state BJP chief Nandkumar Chauhan in their addresses said that the masses were "crazy" about Prime Minister and their chants of "Modi, Modi, Modi" is a reflection of their feelings.
Chouhan said "Modi is a global leader," while Nandkumar said "Prime Minister figures among the top 10 popular world leaders."
Nandkumar told the party leaders to remain socially active by organising functions.
He said "BJP was blessed to have Modi at the national level and Chouhan at state level who are so tall that they don't have a parallel in any other party."
The state BJP chief said like Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru were nicknamed "Bapu and Chacha," Chouhan too is being referred to as "Mama" (maternal-uncle) by masses in the state.
The Chief Minister asked partymen to organise six public functions annually to connect with people at grassroot level. He said, BJP chief Amit Shah too expected party workers to remain in touch with people.
Nandkumar said party will be felicitating elected representatives of the saffron party who do good public work.
