The parliamentarians demanded action against the private telecom operators after proper investigation into the charges and alleged that the companies were not hearing complaints of the customers.
"We have complained to the Minister against the problems being faced by users of Vodafone and Airtel, which have the majority (of subscribers) in the two metro cities of Delhi and Mumbai," BJP MP Kirit Somaiya said.
The MPs said 'call drop' has become a routine occurrence 15 to 20 seconds into a call in Mumbai, Maharashtra and Delhi, the MPs said, claiming they too had faced such inconvenience.
"We request investigation and action," the complaint said.
Among the MPs who made the complaint are Gopal Shetty, Ramdas Tadas, Narendra Swaikar, Jayshgreeben Patel, Lalubhai B Patel, Sunil Balram Gaikwad, Keshav Maurya, Devji Patel and Chintaman Wanga.
