Maharashtra Revenue Minister Chandrakant Patil today offered a berth to the Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatna (SSS) in the state government, if its chief Raju Shetti drops the idea of leaving the NDA.
Patil's offer comes in the backdrop of Shetti's threat to quit the NDA, if BJP does not remove Minister of State for Agriculture Sadabhau Khot as he has been sacked from the SSS.
Shetti has claimed that Khot has been inducted in the ministry from the quota of SSS.
"Since the party has sacked Khot, CM should remove him from the ministry," said Shetti.
He has also given an ultimatum to quit from the NDA if the BJP does not do so.
Backing Khot, the Revenue Minister said, "there is no need to remove Khot from the ministry. We can offer an extra berth in the government for Swabhimani Shetakari Sanghatana."

Meanwhile, Khot dared Shetti to quit from NDA.
"Shetti is thirsty for power and he is eyeing a ministerial post at the Centre. Hence, he will not quit from the NDA," Khot claimed.
However, Shetti rubbished Khot's contention and said that he has never asked for any ministerial post.
