"There is no chance of the Shiv Sena being part of the swearing in," the BJP leader, who did not want to be identified, told PTI here tonight.
"The BJP's top leadership is irked with the attack launched recently through the Sena mouthpiece. What was most annoying was invoking Narendra Modi's father's name," the leader said.
The party is wary of the behaviour of its former ally and would prefer not to be pressurised further, he said.
It is expected that over a dozen BJP ministers will take oath in presence of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31 at Wankhede stadium.
"Earlier, the Congress-NCP ministry had over 40 ministers. Our ministry will be almost half its size. Ours will be a slim and trim ministry," the BJP leader said.
Central BJP observer Rajnath Singh will reach Mumbai around noon tomorrow and attend the meeting of legislators to elect the new leader who would be Maharashtra's new Chief Minister.
