It also criticised the government's Naxal surrender strategy which includes Rs 5 lakh loan-cum-grant to those who surrender and Rs 5,000 per month for those interested in obtaining skill development training after surrendering.
The government would also be providing free legal assistance to the surrendered Naxals who are under trial as per this programme.
Raising the issue in the Assembly during Question Hour, BJP's Sunil Kumar V said, "Such package will only encourage more people to join Naxal activities; rather government should solve local issues in the Naxal affected regions."
He said government was also taking all necessary steps to improve the quality of life of tribals living in the Naxal affected regions. Changes have been made in rules so as to induct them in the police force.

In order to control Naxal activities, steps have been taken to improve the efficiency of anti-naxal force, he added.
He also suggested the Home Minister to call a meeting of MLA's from Naxal affected regions and departments concerned to discuss the issue.
