BJP promises 5 decimal land to landless for housing in Bihar

Making its maiden pitch for power in Bihar, the BJP today released its vision document promising five decimal land to landless for housing and laptop to 50,000 meritorious students and two-wheeler to 5,000 girls passing class X and XII examinations.
All landless people will be provided five decimal land for housing and all homeless people will be given houses equipped with pure drinking water, toilet and electricity by 2022, the BJP's vision document said.
The saffron party, making a maiden bid for power in Bihar as a senior coalition partner under the NDA banner, has promised laptop to 50,000 students in merit list in Class X and XII examinations and proposed to implement education loan guarantee scheme under which loan will be made available at the rate of three per cent.
5,000 girl students passing class X and XII examinations will be given two-wheeler, they will be provided education loan at cheap rate for higher education, the document said, adding that the students of weaker section will get special scholarship for technical and professional education, while a special bureau will be set up to make available information to those students aspiring to go to foreign shores for higher education.
In order to improve literacy ratio in Bihar, the BJP has proposed to make one member of each family an e-literate.
In another initiative, the party has proposed to make it mandatory to have toilets in a household for a person applying for loan from a government agency.
Laying special emphasis on agriculture, a backbone of Bihar's economy, it has proposed to come up with a separate budget for the primary sector every year in the event of its coalition coming to power at the hustings.

Aiming to boost farm production to meet ever increasing demand for foodgrains, the document pledges to install a separate feeder to provide electricity for 12 hours every day for agri-related work.
The consumers will be provided electricity 24x7 even as the power to all villages and farm land will be made available within one year to begin with.
The BJP has also proposed to set up an additional agriculture university and a veterinary university.
Keeping in view financial constraints of the farmers, the BJP has proposed to provide farm loan at zero per cent interest rate to them.
In an incentive to the local entrepreneurs, the BJP has proposed to set up a venture capital fund of Rs 500 crore.
The BJP's vision document has been prepared by a panel headed by the Agriculture minister Radha Mohan Singh and released by the Finance minister Arun Jaitley today.
