The BJP-ruled states, including Madhya Pradesh, were clocking a double digit agriculture growth, party general secretary Murlidhar Rao claimed here today.
"In Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Chhattishgarh, the BJP governments have been making outstanding contribution in the field of agriculture with double digit growth, whereas the Centre's agriculture growth is around 2 per cent," Rao told reporters at a party office here.
Talking about Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi's recent visit to Mohankheda and Bhopal, Rao said that the Congress leader failed to create magic in Uttar Pradesh. "He (Rahul) will have to go for many such poll examinations. He would be trying this in states including Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan later this year," he said.
Rao asked the party workers to prepare themselves for the upcoming assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh as well as the Lok Sabha elections.
