Congress leader and former minister Kishore Upadhyay told reporters that BJP should apologise to the people for this statement and withdraw it.
While Uttarakhand BJP President Teerat Singh Rawat has alleged that more than Rs 10 crore are being spent on the preparations for the three-day session slated to begin from June 9, Upadhyay countering that has said that only Rs 75 lakh would be spent on this event.
Justifying the event, Upadhyay said after last year's natural calamity, such an event would go a long way in giving confidence to the people and restoring their faith in the government.
