BJP's blood donation programme

As many as 2,500 Delhi BJP leaders and workers will donate their blood for the Indian Army and Para Military Forces as part of the 98th birth anniversary celebrations of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay.
"About 2500 leaders and workers, connected with 14 districts, morchas and cells, will donate their blood in a blood donation camp to be organised at Thyagaraj stadium on September 25, the ocassion of Pandit's birthday," Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay told reporters here.
Upadhyay also said that the blood collected in this camp will be given to the Blood Banks of Indian Army and Para Military Forces.
The Delhi BJP chief also said that an Eye Donation Pledge Encouragement Camp has also been setup on this occasion and they have received information from about 200 workers for eye donation pledge.
"As of now, more than 200 party workers have registered themselves for eye donation pledge," he added.
According to Upadhyay, several senior leaders, including Rajnath Singh, M. Venkaiah Naidu and Harsh Vardhan will participate in the programme.
"As per the programme, concrete steps will be taken to implement the schemes connected with social welfare and to end corruption in works connected with Municipal Corporations in order to realize the dreams of Panditji," Upadhyay added.
