BJP national executive member K J Alphons says he will suggest Obama to hold a dialogue with Modi "whose governance skill helped Gujarat becoming fastest growing state in the country".

Modi, whose name is among possible Prime Ministerial candidates for 2014 Lok Sabha polls, was denied a visa to the US in the wake of 2002 post-Godhra riots in Gujarat.

Alphons, who rose to fame for demolishing illegal constructions during his eventful stint as Delhi Development Authority commissioner in the 1990s, has been invited by the Congressional Committee as a "friend" to join them for the 61st National Prayer Breakfast which will be attended by Members of the US Congress, the President and other political leaders along with various groups and diplomats in Washington on February 7.

The Congressional prayer breakfast is an annual faith-based event.
