The JD (U) today termed the results of the Gujarat civic polls and its performance there an indicator of BJP's "dipping" popularity.

JD(U) president Sharad Yadav said here that the performance of his party after victory in Bihar assembly elections indicated that "now the people are fed up in a short time with BJP and they have identified JD(U) as a big alternative."

He said people want peace and communal harmony. "But on the other hand BJP and such like-minded organisations cannot desist from speaking language of hatered...It will hinder development and scare away investors," he said in a statement.
