BJP spokesman Ganesh Dutt said that the Congress was on defensive after the party high command gave the reins of the party in the state "to a tainted leader facing trial in a corruption case".
"The Congress party is seeking votes on the issue of corruption in the ensuing Assembly polls in Himachal by giving the command of the party to a tainted leader who is not only facing trial in a corruption case but who is also in the dock over alleged Ispat payoffs," he said, attacking former chief minister and HPCC chief Virbhadra Singh.
HPCC media incharge Mukesh Agnihotri has yesterday said that Dhumal should make public details of the wealth allegedly amassed by him and his family.
